 The parent company of online marketplace Alibris is acquiring Monsoon, a selling solutions company. Kanth Gopalpur, CEO of Monsoon, joined AuctionBytes Editor Ina Steiner to talk about what the merger means for online sellers. In 1994, Kanth founded and led the online operations of Powells.com and was the first marketplace seller on Amazon.com. In addition to discussing the merger and general ecommerce trends, he describes Monsoon's dynamic pricing capability, which has been available to Amazon.com sellers since 2003 and won eBay's Innovator Award last year.
